Where did it come from? Where it is heading?
These and other questions form the backdrop for George R. Knight's fast-reading but informative treatment of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
From the denomination's founding to the present, A Brief History of Seventh-day Adventists takes its readers step-by-step through the development of the church. At the focal point is the missiological burden that literally propelled Adventism into every corner of the earth.
A Brief History fills the important need of providing a short but accurate history of Adventism that can be appreciated by church members and nonmembers alike. It provides an excellent starting place for the study of Seventh-day Adventism.

Ever have subterfuge, deception and intrigue been employed by Satan to destroy God's pure and holy Church. God's first Eden Church was thus compromised and defiled. The same satanic armaments were employed to so despoil the Patriarchal Church that all but eight of its millions of members were destroyed by the Noachian Deluge, So, too, were the Jewish Church, the early Christian Church and the Protestant Church defiled. To complete God's work of salvation for sinners forever, God chose the one object of His supreme regard, a Church which would never become Babylon, one which will ultimately triumph, the one whose name He designated, His Remnant Church, the Seventh-day Adventist Church, to undertake the most sacred work ever committed to humans. From its very inception Satan has hurled his untiring, nefarious energy with unwearied persistence against God's Church. His subterfuge, deception and intrigue have found no want of Church leaders eager to serve his bidding. His most successful strategy was the foisting, in October, 1957, of the book Seventh-day Adventist Answer Questions on Doctrine, upon God's precious Church. Th result has been the fully-blown Omega of Apostasy. At Andrews University, 24-27, the authors, Russell & Colin Standish, were invited to present papers to the Conference held to examine the history and theology of this book. The paper presented by Russell on the history is set forth in this book. This book is a companion volume to the analysis of the theology of QOD, presented by Colin at the same Conference.

The purpose of this booklet is to answer questions from people who call us or write us with a desire to know why the SDA Reformers are divided.
Since such inquiries often come from our separated brethren, we wrote to the Leadership of the International Missionary Society, with present headquarters in Cedartown, GA, USA, on January 9, 2009. Our proposal, we said, is that we should come together at the GC level to discuss points of common interest that affect both corporations. One of these points is to see if we could prepare, together, an explanation about the existing division.
Until now we have received no reply from the GC office of the IMS brethren. Therefore, as we must answer more and more questions about the crisis and the split (1948-1952), we have decided not to wait any longer. The present booklet is a brief presentation of historical facts--and nothing but bare and true facts-- as far as we can see them.
If the IMS leaders can find any incorrect statement in this publication, we will be thankful to them if they can show us the necessary evidence, and we will make the needed correction in the next edition.

"A Word to the Little Flock" was published in 1847 by James White, a young minister of twenty-five at the time of its release. The book features articles and correspondence that address the events of October 22, 1844, and the unfulfilled prophecies of Daniel and Revelation. It provides a unique look into the experience and thinking of our Adventist pioneers in the years immediately following the Great Disappointment as they studied the Bible to understand what the future held for Christ's followers and the world.

A consummate administrator, a man of committees and budgets, A. G. Daniells was also a man of passion.
At the turn of the twentieth century, the Seventh-day Adventist Church and the nation found themselves entering a new world—one requiring multi level, specialized administration. America had become a major player on the world stage and was becoming predominantly urban. New ways of thinking were demanded if Adventism was to fulfill its commission to take an end-time gospel to a rapidly changing world.
In 1901, during this crucial moment in the development of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Arthur Grosvenor Daniells was elected president of the General Conference, and Adventism desperately needed his gifts of leadership. In the manner of many effective administrators, Daniells possessed quiet, often underappreciated qualities: a capacity for work—the hard unrelenting labor of chairing endless committees, daily attending to copious amounts of correspondence, traveling across the country and across oceans; the ability to discern danger or opportunity in situations where others might see only confusion; the maturity to let others rail at him without responding in kind; a self-confidence tempered by an awareness of his limitations and need for advice; an unwavering loyalty to Ellen G. White; and above all, a commitment to his vision of an Adventist presence throughout the world. He engineered sweeping structural reforms in 1901 and 1903, and influenced the general shape of the denomination for that century and beyond.
Decisions made, precedents set, budgets allocated, personnel appointed, and goals envisioned over the next two decades with Daniells at the helm created the modern Adventist Church. Daniells was undoubtedly one of Seventh-day Adventism's greatest administrators, and McArthur delivers a fascinating biography of this spiritual giant.

We may be living in an age of advanced technology and scientific discovery, but for the most of the world, we are at our worst by both physical and health standards. Obesity and heart disease are hitting all-time highs, and today, as never before, we need to return to the traditional standards of healthy living almost entirely obscured by fast-pace, fast-food lifestyles. Abundant Health discusses the need for natural nutrition in modern science and how the diet is at the central core of a healthy lifestyle. Author Julius Gilbert White stresses the importance of balance and how to jumpstart the body's natural immune system to fight disease. With detailed descriptions, he weaves in useable, easy-to-apply instructions all cemented in Biblically-Based philosophy.

The amazing story of the early Christian believers is told in Volume 4, Acts of the Apostles. After Jesus was victorious over Satan and returned to heaven, the enemy turned his attention to Jesus’ church on earth. Here are thrilling stories of fierce persecutions and unswerving loyalty to God. Peter, Paul, James, John, Luke, Barnabas, Stephen, Mark, and the other early apostles carried the wonderful news of the gospel to all of the then-known world. Unwilling to surrender their faith, many gave their lives. That story is still continuing. Christ’s church today is carrying forward the same work and has the same promise of divine guidance and power.

People have a tendency to give credit only to that which they like to believe—that which harmonizes with their tastes or feelings and that does not disturb their peace.
We hope that our Adventist brethren and friends who have heard or read depreciative reports about the SDA Reform Movement will be at least fair enough and honest to examine the evidence for themselves, listening to both sides, otherwise they will not have a clear and correct view of the points in question. Those who read this booklet will see why it is very important to know the real differences between the Adventist Church and the SDA Reform Movement.
It is not our purpose to criticize the denomination. In the pages that follow we only intend to analyze and answer the most important arguments used by pastor Helmut H. Kramer in his book, THE SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST REFORM MOVEMENT (German Reform), which was published by the Biblical Research Institute of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
The apostle says: “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” 1 Thessalonians 5:21. “For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.” 1 Corinthians 13:8. In this spirit we invite the reader to consider our short reply. May the guidance of God be with you!
